Visitor Center & Chamber of Commerce in Hendersonville, NC

Two organizations end up being surprisingly useful once you’re here, and even before you arrive: the visitor center and the chamber of commerce. Neither one sells real estate, which is exactly why their information is worth trusting.

The Hendersonville Welcome Center

The Hendersonville Welcome Center sits right downtown at 201 South Main Street. It’s open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Stop in and the volunteers will load you up with maps, brochures on local attractions, and restaurant and shopping recommendations that don’t come from an algorithm. There’s free parking and public restrooms, and honestly it’s a good first stop even if you’ve already decided to move here. You can reach them at (828) 693-9708.

Henderson County Chamber of Commerce

The Henderson County Chamber of Commerce is a separate organization from the visitor center, headquartered at 204 Kanuga Rd. Its focus is more on business and community than tourism, but it’s a genuinely useful resource if you’re relocating. They mail out more than 1,800 Newcomer’s Guides a year to people considering the move, covering schools, healthcare, housing, and local government.
